Hello! Welcome to Uhuru Justice Counseling and Consulting Center (UJCCC) For years, there has been a lack of culturally competent mental health services for people of African American Ancestry and other people of color in and around The Bay Area. The stigmas generated by mental challenges and the lack of trust people of color have in the medical system are reasons why our communities of color do not seek mental health wellness. At UJCCC, we offer mental health services grounded on a genuine understanding of the professional and cultural needs of people of color. Our work specializes in lessening the stigma of mental health challenges by educating our communities on the importance of mental health wellness and providing optimal service delivery with empathy and compassion.
